This is my interpretation of a Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, known in English as a Black Forest Cherry Cake. The sponge is two layers of chocolate cake. The "whipped cream" is garbanzo bean juice and powdered sugar. I was pleased with how easy the whipped cream was to make. I also made about ten times what I needed, so we'll be eating whipped cream on toast, on crackers, and in hot chocolate for some time.
